Dr. Judy Gilreath, Superintendent

Prior to being named superintendent of Whitfield County Schools in March 2013, Dr. Judy Gilreath served as assistant superintendent of Student Support Services since 2006.

Dr. Gilreath began her career in education in 1973 teaching science in Chattooga County Schools. A past principal at Pleasant Grove Elementary, her experience includes five years teaching in Walker County Schools and service as an adjunct professor at the University of West Georgia and Dalton State College.

The superintendent holds a bachelor of science in secondary education, a master's degree in elementary education, and doctorate in education in curriculum and instruction.
